Everyone wants a clean house, especially when you’re trying to sell your home, but we all know how hard it is to find the time! Being a real estate agent I am all over the place all the time, some times working from 9am until 10pm at night. It’s hard enough just trying to fit in time to go grocery shopping let alone cleaning constantly! So these tips definitely help me and I’m sure could help a lot of you too.

The Kitchen
The key to keeping your kitchen clean is cleaning as you go, instead of doing one big clean up after dinner, clear away pots, pans, garbage or food ingredients as you cook. Put the pots in the dishwasher or in a sink of soapy water and rinse when finished then give the counters a quick wipe down. Disposable microfibre cloths and mops are great ways to save cleaning time too.

You can also clean one thing extra at a time as you go, for example: whenever you run the dishwasher put in one fridge shelf or stove burner ring.

The Bathroom
Keep a package of disinfecting wipes under the sink to clean as you go if you see it needs a wipe down when you’re done using it and spritz the shower with cleaner when you’re done using it and it’s still wet, run the shower for 1 minute or rinse with the shower head.

Empty the waste basket and put away any makeup, towels or dirty laundry and I assure you that you’re bathroom with stay clean! I mean really….who actually likes to clean the bathroom? Not me!

Bedrooms and Living Rooms
These rooms are much easier to keep tidy than the kitchen and bathroom but still take some work. Put all the remotes away, recycle any old magazines or newspapers and give everything a quick vacuum or dust. In bedrooms make sure all dirty laundry is put away and try to do 1 load of laundry a day to keep it under control and tidy up any beside tables.

I hope these tips make all of your house chores much easier to deal with! It won’t change that you have to do a deep clean every few weeks but it will definitely still make things much easier.
