A man by the name of Thomas Daigle, age 60, just paid his last mortgage payment with 62,000 pennies according to ABC News!
Apparently the idea came to Daigle 35 years ago when he and his wife were walking out of the bank after getting their mortgage. That’s when he found a penny in the parking lot.
“I said, I’m going to pay our last mortgage in pennies,” Daigle told ABC.
Daigle was true to his word, filling two metal boxes with pennies for more than three decades.
Unreal! So next time you see a penny on the ground, pick it up because it could very well pay your mortgage….or at least a nice vacation!
